Hawksbeck were delighted to complete this stunning home garden gym project in Stapleford Abbots, Essex, this year. It truly is the perfect garden room gym and garden room living space. Covering 43sqm of this garden, this garden room from the Hawksbeck Modern Range is a sight to behold in any garden. It has been customised with angled cedar walls that overhang the garden room, creating gorgeous side panels that make this garden room feel private from neighbouring gardens.
Inside, this garden room has so much to shout about. Our clients wanted their own personal home garden gym, with space for all their fitness equipment. We’re not talking about a couple of dumbbells either… with a full dumbbell rack, multi-purpose squat rack and bench set, and a Technogym bike!
Even if you do not go to the gym, this garden room will be having you at your peak fitness in no time. To create a comfortable gym area our clients chose to have an air conditioning unit fitted to regulate the temperature.
To finish this home gym space perfectly, we fitted custom mirrors alongside the walls in this section, to make those workouts a little bit easier when correcting form and self-motivating. The gym lockers further along the room help to start the transition from gym space to living space, with the three tall gym lockers matching the colour of the gym equipment. The industrial style lamp also matches the harsh aluminium grey colours of the gym section.
The living space consists of a soft green velvet sofa, which faces a wide screen television – perfect for movie nights. The dark blue feature wall compliments the grey equipment and the green of the sofa, tying the décor together nicely. Underneath the television is an industrial-style cabinet that compliments the rest of the room.
Our clients wanted a shower room alongside their home garden gym, so they could complete their workout, shower, and then return to their day as smoothly as possible. The bathroom is compact but not small, containing a comfortable shower, toilet and sink with a mirror and toiletry shelf. With blues and blacks contrasting against stark white tiling and walls, this bathroom feels modern and clean.
The front of this garden gym room is visually striking for several reasons. The wide bifold doors allow for plenty of natural light to come into the garden room gym, reflecting off the custom mirror wall. From the front, the mirrors also make the garden room feel much bigger when you enter it, which is a great trick if you have a smaller garden room but want it to feel more spacious. The roof overhang provides an element of additional privacy, but also style, creating a modern appearance.
