Created by Hawksbeck Garden Rooms, the project showcases how thoughtful design and material choice can maximise both style and usability in a compact footprint.

Contemporary Design with Clever Detailing

The exterior combines warm cedar cladding with durable Hardie® Plank, delivering a modern, low-maintenance finish that complements the surrounding garden. This garden room is from Hawksbeck’s Modern Range and features an overhang, adding a sleek architectural detail while subtly framing the front of the building. A standout feature is the hidden storage door, seamlessly integrated within the cladding so it’s virtually invisible, preserving the clean exterior lines while offering practical storage for equipment and essentials.

Large 3m aluminium bifold doors open the space directly onto the garden, while windows on three elevations ensure the interior is flooded with natural light throughout the day. This extensive glazing gives the garden room an open, airy feel and maintains a strong connection with the outdoors.

A Light-Filled Workspace

One side of the garden room has been dedicated to a double desk workstation, ideal for working from home or shared use. Positioned in front of a large landscape window, with an additional window to the side, the desks benefit from excellent daylight and garden views, creating a bright and motivating environment.
