Now listen up, here is the science bit. There is an industry-standard measure for the way heat is transmitted through insulation. That is called the u-value. The lower the u-value the more slowly heat is able to transmit through it and therefore the better it performs as an insulator. Simply put, the lower the u-value the better insulated your garden room is. There are target u-values set by building regulations in the UK. These u-values form part of your building regulation approval by the building inspector. All Hawksbeck Garden Rooms are built with exceptional u-values.
