Garden rooms are perfect for relaxing, entertaining, or even working from. You can also use it as an extension of your kitchen or dining area – perfect for those who like to eat outdoors! But did you know that if you choose a bespoke garden room from the Hawskbeck team, our garden rooms come with fantastic eco credentials? We strive to not only build fully-insulated garden buildings that are energy-efficient, bespoke and luxurious inside, but we also aim to take care of the planet when doing so.

Being eco-friendly is a natural part of what we do

Our green eco-friendly credentials are important to us, and we are proud of our environmental achievements. We believe that caring for the environment is good for business and for our clients, which is why it’s something we strive to do every day at Hawksbeck Garden Rooms.

SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) construction

Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a type of wall construction that uses recycled materials and offers numerous benefits. SIPs are made from timber, plastic, glass, and metal, with an insulating layer between two panels. This also makes them a wonderful way to insulate your garden room and prevent heat loss.

The main advantage of using SIPs is that it allows us to build your insulated garden room quickly and easily. It also uses 65% less timber than traditional building methods, which means fewer trees must be cut down for your garden room!

In addition, SIPs are lightweight and easy to install; they’re classified as an eco-build due to their 100% recyclability; plus, they can be used for both single-storey or multi-storey buildings – so there aren’t any downsides.

Carbon neutral production.

All our SIPs are manufactured in a carbon-neutral facility. Carbon neutrality means that the production process doesn’t release any extra greenhouse gases into the environment, which helps mitigate climate change and its effects on our planet.

Less waste

We produce 90% less site wastage as our garden room bespoke kit is manufactured off-site and delivered to you, ready to install.  This also means it is super-fast to construct on-site when your materials arrive.

Eco-friendly Garden Rooms interiors

Creating a truly sustainable space doesn’t have to end with the exterior of the building, so why not consider creating a beautiful, environmentally conscious interior? This can be achieved by making simple swaps from using paints with toxic chemicals to using eco-friendly paints. These are one of the most important considerations regarding a sustainable interior. They’re made using natural pigments, so they don’t contain toxic chemicals or VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

You can also investigate eco-friendly furniture and lighting options if you want to go further down the sustainability road. Most of these products will be made from recycled materials and organic materials certified by third parties.

If you want to get even more creative with your sustainable interior, consider using products made from natural materials such as cork or bamboo. These materials are biodegradable and can be recycled easily, so they’re an excellent option for anyone looking for a more green space for their garden room.
