Golf Simulator Garden Room – Dulwich, London

The Hawksbeck team completed this bespoke, one-of-a-kind, luxury golf simulator garden room for a home in Dulwich, London. Alongside the unique focus of the garden room is used for golf, it also has a bathroom and a kitchenette area, so our client didn’t have to interrupt their recreational time by heading back and forth between the house for beverages and to use the bathroom.

Here at Hawksbeck, we pride ourselves in our fully bespoke builds and allow our clients to always choose the purpose and the design of their garden rooms. Here, our client chose a 42sqm sized garden room with an extra 3.5m height to allow for a golf club to swing. The cladding to the front of the garden room is cedar and to the sides and rear it is cladded in Dura composite cladding.

To make up for the extra height, the bifolding doors are 2.5 meters tall with Herringbone luxury vinyl floor, buster and punch light switches and handles and a Howdens kitchen with an American-styled fridge freezer. However, perhaps the most amazing thing about this luxurious garden room is the Golfzon golf simulator with an auto tee. This means the ball comes out of the floor!

What makes this garden room truly bespoke is its Golfzon golf simulator. The area within the garden room is set with Astroturf to give the illusion of real grass. Because the Golfzon golf simulator works by hitting the ball with a golf club against the cushioned projection, it was important the garden room had a lot of space to make it safe for swinging golf clubs. Not only is space used for safety in this large, bespoke garden room, but the importance of space also plays into aesthetics, adding value and creating a relaxed environment. This garden room really is a golfer’s paradise!

The kitchenette area equipped with an American-styled fridge freezer is a great addition to the garden room, making it easy to keep hydrated and fuelled for the next round of golf! The kitchen area also helps add convenience considering our client wouldn’t have to waste time going back and forth from the house to their golf simulator garden room building. Not only this but including a kitchen area makes for added sociability with friends, family, and guests. Hosting and entertainment are made easier and more practical with the option to mingle with guests when drinking, cooking or playing golf.

Alongside the kitchenette, the bathroom also allows for added convenience meaning our client doesn’t have to move to and from the house, having their golfing time interrupted.  The bathroom is a classic and timeless white with tiling behind the sink. The tiling not only prevents unwanted water splashes from soaking the wall which could cause mould and mildew, but it is also an aesthetical choice and is strong and easy to clean.
